what's the difference between an insight and a question?
an insight is the weekly read — the council reads your last seven days and tells you what you've been doing, what's working, what you've been avoiding. a question is on-demand — you write what you're facing and the council responds to that specifically. both are polyphonic; each advisor speaks in their own voice.
are the council voices the actual people?
no — they're interpretive. original advice written in the spirit and style of the named thinkers, grounded in everything publicly known about how they think and advise. not statements from or affiliations with them.
can i swap advisors after i pick them?
any time. seat any two (free) or any three (pro) from the bench of twelve — the council page lets you change the lineup as your work changes.
what happens to my data if i cancel?
nothing. your habits, letters, journal entries, kept lines — all of it stays on your device. pro features just turn off.
can i switch between monthly and annual?
yes. upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time from your account page. switches take effect at the next billing date.
do i need an account to use the trenches?
yes — sign-in is a quick magic link to your email, no password. your work is tied to your account so it's there on whichever device you open.
